Merry Christmas!!!

We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas, as we did.
The kids had a blast opening their gift's from, Auntie's,
Uncle's, Cousin's and Grandparent's.
Mom and our neighbor's came over for dinner.

Santa brought the kids a Wii this year, however Daddy and
our neighbor Kevin, spent all night playing it.

The kids gave a present to each other and this was their "Thank You".

Garrett had been asking for this Pokemon Dialga set for ever...He finally got it!

Lauren made everyone presents from her bead sets...
So, a new bead set was an appropriate gift for her.

Christmas Eve

When we got home from Christmas Eve service,
the kids and Spud decided to get in our new pj's and watch
Daddy's favorite X-Mas movie..."Christmas Vacation".
The Walters at their best...In their PJ's.

Lauren and Garrett drinking hot cocoa with a ton of marshmallow's.

Lucy had to get in on the fun too.

All relaxed...Ready for Santa to come!!!

Christmas Eve Presents

We always open one present on Christmas Eve, as I'm sure most
of you have the same tradition. However, this year the kids
remembered that they always get pj's for the X-Mas Eve gift.
Not so much fun!!!
Spud and I decided to let them open another present, a fun one!!!

Boring jammies.

Garrett got Magnetix Gears. Lauren got an iTunes gift card.

Cookies For Santa

Lauren & Garrett got so involved this year!

This was fun...I usually do all the baking and then let the kids decorate,
but they wanted to be a part of it all.

Daddy even helped out.

Each piece Lauren decorates is a work of art.
She spends so much time on one cookie...

Then there is Garrett. He slaps as much frosting and candy on
one cookie as he can, then moves on.

Santa is going to have fun eating all of these cookies...
Merry Christmas Santa!!!

"All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth!"

I think we have all had that addicting song stuck
in our heads at one time or another...
Well that is all we are hearing from Garrett these days!!!

All Garrett really wants for Christmas is his two front teeth...
I just don't think they will grow in by then!!!

Gingerbread House

Aunt Bev thought it would be a great idea to decorate a gingerbread house to kick off the holidays. I, on the other hand, was a little scared about the mess that comes along with frosting and little, sticky bouncy candies. But, it turned out to be a fun project.

Lauren and Garrett really put their heads together and came up
with a great decorating plan...

They worked and worked and worked...

They didn't stop until it was done...

Well almost done, Lauren had a better offer from a friend, so she was outta there. Garrett enlisted the help of Gigi and Aunt Bev to finish.

Thanksgiving

Aunt Bev and Uncle Lou made the trip up from Maryland to stay a few days. Mom came over of course, help me prepare a big dinner. Dave and Molly also came for dinner. We feel so blessed to have such great friends and family in our life. We had a great day!!!

Garrett thought Daddy's friend, Dave from work, came
over to play Pokemon cards with him.

Uncle Lou, Lauren and Molly.

Cheerleader

Lauren joined a competitive cheerleading team in May. Their first competition was October 25, they got 3rd place. This past Sunday was their most recent competition. They got 1st place and scored "High Point", which means they had the highest points for all the level 1's. This competition will be aired on FoxSports at a later date, we will keep you posted. They have also been invited to the Nationals, location TBD...

This is Lauren's "Big Sis", Kaitlin! She is on the Senior Team.

Here are the girls in action. Not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.
Lauren is on the far left as a base.

There was a 5 hour break between the competition and the awards,
so we went to dinner. Here is Garrett, very proud of Lauren.

Both teams won 1st place. Here they all are just after they got their trophies.

What a day!!!

Halloween

Garrett was a Clone Trooper from Star Wars.
Lauren was a Soda Pop girl from the 50's.

Happy Fall

Where we live ,there are several farms that you can go and just have some fun. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to go check it out, last minute.
I know it does not look like much, but it is a corn maze. Lauren and I went one way, while Garrett and Daddy went the other. I never thought we were going to get out of there. It was fun!!

Can't you see the joy in their faces.
They were ready to go home.

Love this one!!!

Hocking Hills

In October, we took a trip to Hocking Hills, here in Ohio, with our neighbors. It is only about one and a half hours from our house. But, on this trip it took about 6 hours to get there. Our RV broke down about 30 minutes from there. It started out rough, but ended up a great weekend.

We went on a little hike to Old Man's Cave. This was on our way down. I really wish I had gotten a piture of our hike back up. Halarious!!!

This is just cute.

Garrett thought he was so cool. More rocks than he knew what to do with.

Our little girly girl is finally realizing, being out doors can be fun.

Washington DC

In September we went to my Aunt Bev's in Maryland. While we were there we went to Washington DC. This is all in one day.
I thought the kids were going to kill us.
We walked it all, then went to a baseball game that night. But, they were great!!!

My cousin Matt, here with Lauren, works at the Nationals Stadium.
We had a blast. Thanks Matt!!!

My cousin Chris and Garrett at the ball game.

I had to add this picture of the Washington Monument. We were on our
way to the Stadium and I had to take this picture. Isn't it just beautiful?

This is my Aunt Bev with my cousin's Scott and Amy's daughter, Grace.
We went to lunch at some fancy shmancy place,
where all the big political people of DC go.

The Lincoln Memorial. I have to say, the kids were quite impressed.

The Hope Diamond was on display at the Natural History Museum.
This thing was huge. They say that whoever touches it will have bad luck.
I don't know, that is hard to believe, because it is so beautiful.

Here are my monkey's at the Natural History Museum.

These are my cousin's, Scott and Amy, here with Lauren and Garrett.
They live in Virginia and met us in DC for the day.

I don't think the kids thought that the White House was real, until they saw it.
Lauren couldn't get enough of it! Look out Hilary and Sarah!
